The cast of Tormented leap to fame

Alex Pettyfer

Plays:
Bully boy Bradley, scourge of the high school who comes to a sticky end John Wayne Bobbitt-style.
Lives: Alex, 19, shuttles between the family home in Windsor and the Soho Hotel in his Mini, listening to Kings of Leon.
Previous roles: Alex Ryder in Anthony Horowitz's big-screen adaptation of Stormbreaker, and the stud in last year's Wild Child opposite Emma Roberts, niece of Julia, with whom he shared an off-screen romance - and has the tattoo to prove it.
Background: His parents divorced when he was young. His father is an actor, his mother is in property and his younger half-brother James is an England tennis player. Tweeny modelling campaigns for Gap and Tommy Hilfiger, and a lead in ITV's Tom Brown's Schooldays opposite Stephen Fry, meant little time for swotting and Alex left Shiplake boarding school after failing his GCSEs.
Shower song: No role in Joseph for this blue-eyed pretty boy, he can't sing in tune.
Dream date: Natalie Portman.
Idols: Heath Ledger. Landing parts like The Joker in The Dark Knight and Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain are the ultimate goal.
Brush with death: 'I nearly drowned at sea.'

I am a beast.

A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright-a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster.

You think I'm talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay this way forever-ruined-unless I can break the spell.

Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly . . . beastly.

Alex Pettyfer: 'I f*** more than a rabbit'

"I'm up for anything, as they say. I wanted to make it look real though, like Little Children, where Kate Winslet is getting f***ed on the washing machine."

Hmm, it's becoming obvious that, despite appearances, Pettyfer is not another cuddly, Disney-friendly gonk. He doesn't drink (for medical reasons he won't go into) but when I ask if there's any truth in blog tattle that he might abstain from "the other" he is horrified.

"I f*** more than a rabbit," he laughs.
